Turn your existing docs into structured contexts
The Onboarding Wizard uses AI to extract standards and best practices from your documentation and converts them into ContextRail contexts — ready for your team and AI tools.
How the wizard works
Five stages take you from raw documents to published, AI-accessible context cards.
- Accepted types: PDF, DOCX, MD, TXT
- Limits: up to 10 files per session, 10 MB per file
- Requirement: Admin role in your organization
Step by step
Follow these steps to generate contexts from your existing documentation.
Open the Onboarding Wizard in the web app and start a new session. Sessions expire after 24 hours.
Drag and drop your documentation files. Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, MD, TXT — up to 10 files, 10 MB each.
Click Analyze to let the AI extract standards, guidelines, and patterns from your documents. This may take a few minutes.
Inspect the extracted context titles, domains, tags, and summaries. Edit any field directly before generating.
Click Generate to produce full context cards — including imperatives, examples, and checklists — from your reviewed suggestions.
Review the generated contexts and save them to your organization. They are immediately available to your AI tools via MCP.
- New contexts appear in the Contexts list in the web app.
- Each context includes a summary, imperatives, examples, and a checklist.
- Your AI tool can immediately retrieve the new contexts via MCP.
- Upload fails: reduce file size or convert to a supported format (PDF, DOCX, MD, TXT).
- Suggestions are inaccurate: edit titles, tags, and domains directly in the Review step before generating.
- Session expired: sessions last 24 hours — start a new session and re-upload your files.
